Diabetes and Me

Event held at Sheffield Town Hall on Saturday 16 November 2024

Prof Simon Heller was MC for the day and he introduced the various speakers.

One of the presentations was all about how to look after your feet.

Diabetes UK Sheffield Group had their own stall where people could pick up free leaflets.

There were stalls by local organisations such as SACHMA giving out information to attendees.

Jayne Dunn, the Lord Mayor of Sheffield visited the event to speak to stallholders and attendees

Dr Carol Auma's presentation was all about healthy eating with diabetes.

Speakers covered topics including what care people living with diabetes should expect to receive and how to use technology to manage diabetes.

The Chief Executive of Diabetes UK was also a guest for the day and she thanked everyone who had put  in so much hard work to make the event such a great success.

At the end of the event several of the day's speakers returned to the platform to take part in a question and answer session.
